mission is to provide wrought iron craftsmanship with current
styles and technical support. Products are designed and built in
house with materials provided by a leader in the steel industry.
Our  products
are built to your measurements or our measurements with high
quality and strength meeting your needs and the requirements of
cities and states. Our staff is available Monday through Friday,
7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on Saturdays April 1st - December 1st from
9:00 a.m. to 12:00
noon Eastern Standard Time.
Your
ideas combined with our 56 years of experience will be able to
create an elegant piece of iron work that will last for years. Our
product line includes porch and stair railing, fencing, walk and
driveway gates, pipe railing, columns, and miscellaneous items.
The choice of ornamentation is yours, and there is a wide variety
from which to choose.
The
corporation was founded in 1951 by David & Elise Bauer in
their house in Redford Township, Michigan, where the name "House
Of Iron" was originally registered. Mr. Bauer
unfortunately pass ed
away around 1955 and Elsie ran the family owned business for 10
years before selling the stock to Harry Averill. Mr. Averill has
since passed away and the company is currently owned and run by
Kris Westerkamp, Michael Shamus, and Craig Averill, Jr. a combined
total of 60 years experience.
